The Super D Upgrade Kit is MD Helicopters advanced upgrade configurations designed to elevate the performance and capability of the MD 500D. Each Super D variant features extended main and tail rotor blades, a tail rotor gearbox extension, a modified tailboom, and new vertical and horizontal stabilizers.
Two configurations—Super D20B and Super D20R—retain the aircraft’s lighter M/R gearbox and utilize either the 250-C20B or 250-C20R engine. The third option, the Super D30, includes an upgrade to the 650 shp Rolls-Royce 250-C30 engine, delivering even greater power and mission flexibility.
