We’re proud to unveil the Super D family—three advanced upgrade configurations designed to elevate the performance and capability of the MD 500D. Each Super D variant features extended main and tail rotor blades, a tail rotor gearbox extension, a modified tailboom, and new vertical and horizontal stabilizers.

Two configurations—Super D20B and Super D20R—retain the aircraft’s lighter M/R gearbox and utilize either the 250-C20B or 250-C20R engine. The third option, the Super D30, includes an upgrade to the 650 shp Rolls-Royce 250-C30 engine, delivering even greater power and mission flexibility.

The Super D20B upgrade package delivers enhanced performance through key structural and aerodynamic enhancements—all while retaining the proven 250-C20B engine.

Upgrade highlights include:

Super D20R

Available now

The Super D20R offers the same comprehensive airframe and systems upgrades as the Super D20B—longer blades, extended tail rotor gearbox, modified tailboom, and more—but is powered by the 250-C20R engine for increased performance.

We are now accepting orders and shipments will begin in December 2025.

Super D30

Expected Q2 2026

Like the Super D20B and D20R, the Super D30 features the same structural and aerodynamic enhancements—longer blades, modified tailboom, extended gearbox, and updated stabilizers—but is powered by the 250-C30 engine, delivering even greater power and operational flexibility.

Kit shipments are expected to begin in December 2025. Ordering details will be announced soon.
