Michigan-based McMahon Helicopter Services welcomed as authorized sales agent for the full range of MDHI single and twin engine helicopters, with a focus on VIP and personal use operators
MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) is proud to announce the addition of McMahon Helicopter Services to its U.S. network of authorized sales representatives. Canton, Michigan-based McMahon provides customers with a wide range of helicopter charter services as well as sales and maintenance support. Authorized as a distributor for the full range of MD Helicopters’ single and twin-engine aircraft, McMahon will focus primarily on the VIP and personal use market.
“We are excited to welcome McMahon Helicopter Services to the MDHI family,” said Craig Kitchen, Chief Commercial Officer for MD Helicopters. “Nick and Nate run an outstanding, multi-faceted operation. As rated helicopter pilots with a long history in executive charters, they also have a unique insight into what VIP and personal transport operators want. We are honored they have chosen to offer MDHI-brand rotorcraft to their current and future clients.”
“MD approached us with a great opportunity to help spread the word on their beautifully updated product line,” said Nick McMahon, President of McMahon Helicopter Services. “We were very pleased to make a customer connection almost immediately for the MD 500E. MD’s products are a perfect fit for our VIP, rotorcraft-licensed clients who are looking to bring home the ultimate “hands on” transportation experience.”
The custom right-hand command MD 500E will include MD Helicopters’ Block 1 all-glass cockpit featuring the Howell Instruments Engine Instruments Display, Garmin G500H EFIS and Garmin GTN 750 NAV/COM/GPS. It will also include upgraded leather interior, air conditioning, satellite radio, and the Fargo 21-gallon auxiliary fuel-tank.
“The customer for this MD 500E currently owns an R66, but he wanted the additional speed and performance that the MD 500E offered without having to sacrifice his current Garmin avionics package. It was a major selling point to have essentially the same cockpit functionality that the R66 had through the Garmin 500 PFD/MFD displays integrated with the Garmin 750,” McMahon concludes.
“If their out-of-the-gate sale of an MD 500E is any indication, Nick, Nate and the whole McMahon team will be a hugely successful expansion of our authorized representative network,” concludes Kitchen. “We look forward to a long partnership and continued success.”
The new MD 500E is scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter, 2018.
