LAS VEGAS, Nev., March 15, 2004 - MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI, Booth 166), kicked off its sixth Heli-Expo by announcing three sales and several pending deliveries.  Peña Aero Taxi, of Brazil, has ordered an MD 600N® that is slated for delivery this fall. The aircraft will be used for charter work in the Amazon jungle, company officials said.

In addition, one MD 520N® and one MD Explorer® have been sold to the company's new distributor in Russia. Those deliveries also are planned for 2004.  In addition, MDHI announced that it will deliver three helicopters in March, including a fifth and final MD Explorer for the German Police, and two MD 600Ns to the Turkish National Police (TNP).  The remaining eight TNP helicopters will be delivered this year.

MDHI delivered 15 helicopters in 2003, including eight MD Explorers, one MD 600N, three MD 530F and three MD 500E.

Based in Mesa, Ariz., MDHI manufactures and sells a line of high-performance light twin- and single-engine helicopters, including the MD Explorer, MD 600N, MD 520N, MD 530F and MD 500E. The company also produces armed versions of its entire product line.

Only MD Helicopters feature the patented NOTAR system for anti-torque control.
