MDHI Spares Prices Show Average Increase of 4 Percent Since 1999
DALLAS, Texas, Feb. 9, 2003 - Prices for MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) spare parts have increased an average of just four percent since 1999. This unusual move to keep parts pricing stable is part of MDHI's overall commitment to keep direct operating costs (DOCs) affordable for owners and operators of high-performance MD helicopters, according to company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Henk Schaeken.
"When we purchased the Boeing commercial light helicopter product line in 1999, we made a commitment to work toward driving down DOCs for our operators," Schaeken said. "That is what has motivated us to keep our pricing at such a consistently affordable level."
The company's comprehensive, customer-friendly website ( www.mdhelicopters.com ) provides a unique "e-price catalog" that features 2003 prices for thousands of parts, as well as a convenient search capability. The entire catalog may also be downloaded and printed.
MDHI representatives are celebrating the company's fourth anniversary and fifth Heli-Expo (Booth 1241) this week in Dallas.
Based in Mesa, Ariz., MDHI manufactures and sells a line of high-performance light twin- and single-engine helicopters, including the MD Explorer, MD 600N,
MD 520N, MD 530F and MD 500E. Only MD Helicopters feature the patented NOTAR system for anti-torque control.
