This unusual move to keep parts pricing stable is part of MDHI's overall commitment to keep direct operating costs (DOCs) affordable for owners and operators of high-performance MD helicopters, according to company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Henk Schaeken.

"When we purchased the Boeing commercial light helicopter product line in 1999, we made a commitment to work toward driving down DOCs for our operators," Schaeken said. "That is what has motivated us to keep our pricing at such a consistently affordable level."
